Ever since I got into origami, I just cannot stop folding! For a while I've meant to make an origami bird and since I'm still a beginner, these weren't so hard to make. The first bird I folded was The Crane, which turned out to be pretty easy, so I decided to make like 5 small ones, threaded them on string and hanged it up like in the above picture. I actually didn't have any more origami paper so instead I used normal printer/color paper.
Below features a few tutorials of the Top 5 Origami Birds:
#1 The Crane
Like I mentioned before this origami bird is quite simple and easy to fold, especially if you're still a beginner. You can check out the full written instructions with clear diagrams to the crane here. If you're having a hard time following that, I found a good video on youtube.
#2 The Bird
Another easy and simple pretty bird to fold which looks really cute standing on your desk (says from experience - to be honest, my desk is actually very cluttered which reminds me I really need to sort that out! But you know - procrastination:) You can find the written instructions with diagrams here
or check out the video below:
#3 The Pelican
Did you know that Pelicans has a wingspan of five meters? Me neither. For this bird, I haven't tried it myself yet (but I will) but it looks kind of simple. The written instructions with diagrams are here or watch the video instructions below:
#4 The Flapping Bird
#5 The Owl
And we have reached the last of the top 5 origami bird, the owl. Find the written instructions with the diagrams here (side note: for this entire feature I reference the written instructions to this site because they are really good, you could even say one of the best origami teaching sites out there.) or watch the video below:
